FIRST AID IN OLDHAM

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester organised a first aid course for a number of our clubs in the Oldham area on Saturday 11th May.

The course was primarily targeted at our Oldham clubs as the aim was first and foremost to train volunteers at a youth club we have recently launched in the Chadderton area of Oldham in partnership with Full Circle North West.

The training was kindly hosted by Oldham Boxing, who also took the opportunity to train a couple of their young leaders.

It was a full day, Emergency First Aid course, delivered by Manchester First Aid and is a fully accredited and nationally recognised qualification.

Ten volunteers were trained, and all enjoyed the day, learning new first aid skills, but they also enjoyed meeting volunteers and leaders from other parts of Oldham.

Well done to everyone who gave up their Saturday, took part and passed the course – let’s just hope you never need to actually use your new-found skills!

Big thank you to Oldham Boxing as well, for allowing us to use your building.

If you have any training needs at your club, please let us know and we will try and help.
