Young Volunteer Awards
We like to thank young volunteers for sharing their time, skills and talents and for helping to make a positive difference in a Boys and Girls Club.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester believes in recognising the amazing things young people do in our affiliated clubs, so we have developed the Young Volunteer Awards.
The aim is to
- record the voluntary work that they have done so that they can put in their CV or Record of Achievemet.
- reflect on their experience, what they have learned and the contribution they have made through their volunteering.
- celebrate their achievements.
The log book will help young volunteers collect and record information about your volunteering. It’s specifically designed to log time spent, skills gained and the benefit their actions have on the community. The folder can also be used to keep certificates, references, photos and other relevant information about their activities.
By logging hours spent volunteering and getting these signed off by a Club Leader/Supervisor, young volunteers can work towards a 15, 40 and 100 hour certificate, which will officially recognise the valuable time they have spent helping others.
Our Young Volunteer Awards Scheme is kindly sponsored by the Co-operative Members Community Fund.
